This group of slogans was for the 2021 National Games of China. It was held from September 15 to 27. More than 20,000 athletes participated in the event. During that time, China had the strictest covid policy in the world. These sets of slogans aimed to persuade the audiences of national games and the athletes who were taking part in the event to follow the strict covid policy. For instance, there is a huge mask in the center of each poster.  

English Translation: “By having a scientific approach to prevention of Covid, a civilized National Games would happen.”

The slogan suggested that scientific epidemic prevention of Covid as important as a perfectly held sporting event. 

English Translation: “Good health comes from continuous exercise, and the Covid Pandemic would end with a scientific approach.”

This slogan tries to convey establish a relationship between sports and the pandemic. Moreover, it emphasizes the importance of having a scientific understanding toward the pandemic, which further implies the Chinese government’s handling of Covid-19 is scientific. 

English Translation: “No one can stand aside in the face of a pandemic, and no one is an outsider in the pandemic prevention and control.”

This slogan wants to convey that everyone, including professional athletes and coaches, must follow the Covid presentation policy. 

English Translation: “We, the volunteers and the government officials, need to adhere to our heart to fight against the the Covid pandemic and fulfill our mission to hold a successful National Games. ”

The purpose of this poster is to guarantee the organizers of the National Games successfully hold the event and follow the Covid regulation as well. 

English Translation: “In order to prevent the pandemic, we must not take fluke, and it is everyone’s responsibility to take is seriously.”

This slogan suggests that everyone needs to take the pandemic seriously and carefully. 

English Translation: “There are five things to you when you enter public space: scaning the QR code, measuring your body temperature, wearing a mask, keeping a distance of 1m with other people, and prohibiting in gathering.

The function of this slogan is to remind people the five things they need to do when they are in a public space.
