Tiantai Temple

Due to the downsides of wooden architecture, many of buildings from the Tang Dynasty have already been destroyed. Tiantai Temple is one of the four wooden architecture from the Tang Dynasty in China.

The Tiantai temple's fronts and sides has a lot space, so rest of the space in the temple has relatively small space. Based on our finding of the early Chinese architecture, this kind of feature could hardly be found in existed ancient Chinese architecture.

The sign from the left picture was written during the Cultural Revolution. Many ancient artifacts and buildings are destroyed by the Red Guards. While the Pingshun County's Revolutionary committee put out a signage saying that no one can damage the Tiantai Temple because it is antique recognized by experts.
